Here’s my daily ritual/tip for our fellow yogis...
"...meditate every day! Even if you can only fit in five minutes. Find a quiet space to sit still and focus on your breath. It does wonders for your wellbeing!"
I define mindful beauty...
"...as creating a beauty regime that aligns with my core principles of choosing sustainable, eco-friendly, non-toxic, cruelty-free, products that are not only good for my skin, but good for my conscience and the world around me."
Here’s the story of when, why and where I began my Yoga practice….
"I took my first yoga class at a local YMCA in Hawaii and I absolutely hated it! The poses felt weird in my body, people were chanting in a language I didn't understand and there were some funky noises emerging from people's bodies that made the inner child in me want to completely laugh out loud. It wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles and discovered Power Yoga that I realized yoga could rival the athleticism of any other sport I had ever played. The physical practice was the initial attraction for me, but it was the mental, emotional and spiritual benefits that really hooked me. And now I'm the one chanting in a funny language! "
Here’s my current obsession / passion — other than Yoga:
" Martial arts! Specifically brazilian jiu-jitsu. I learn so much about myself every time I train and there are days when I feel like a complete beginner, so it's very humbling. Like yoga, it's also one of the few places where I'm completely present - and you have to be present otherwise it's very easy to get injured."
